The Faculty Council

The Faculty Council is an advisory and consultative body for the Dean, composed of:

  • the Dean as the chairperson;
  • Vice-Deans;
  • Directors of institutes and heads of departments;
  • Faculty Administrative Director;
  • Representatives of various employee groups, as well as PhD students and students, elected in accordance with Appendix No. 1 of the Statute.

Representatives of the trade unions operating at the University, one from each union, participate in the faculty council meetings with an advisory voice. Other persons invited by the Dean may also participate with an advisory voice.

The Faculty Council provides opinions on all important decisions of the Dean concerning the educational, research, and organizational activities of the faculty. Specifically, the Faculty Council provides opinions on:

  • the draft faculty budget plan;
  • the faculty development strategy project;
  • the establishment and transformation of study programs and specializations;
  • the faculty's quality assurance system for education;
  • the Dean's proposals for creating, transforming, and dissolving institutes and departments;
  • the principles of personnel policy regarding academic teachers.
