Nanoengineering of Materials

"Nanomaterials Engineering" is an interdisciplinary field combining theoretical and practical knowledge in chemistry, physics, and materials engineering. The program is offered jointly with the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics at AGH. As a result, the curriculum is based on both natural and engineering sciences. During the course of study, students can choose between two diploma tracks—computational or experimental—depending on their interests.

Graduates of the first-cycle (engineering) "Nanomaterials Engineering" program acquire knowledge that enables them to conduct theoretical research related to computer modeling of nanomaterial properties, as well as laboratory research through practical skills in nanomaterial fabrication and quantitative characterization using modern measurement equipment. These skills enable graduates to work in both academia and various industry sectors, in teams focused on modeling, fabrication, or characterization of nanomaterials.
