"Medical Physics" is a dynamic, interdisciplinary program that equips graduates with the flexibility to adapt to the evolving demands of employers at the intersection of technical and clinical work. The wide range of science and medical subjects allows students to acquire knowledge and skills that can be further developed in their chosen areas of interest (e.g., diagnostics, therapy, radiological protection, biostatistics). The curriculum provides both theoretical knowledge in the fields of exact and technical sciences, as well as practical skills through specialized laboratory work in nuclear physics and radiochemistry, and practical sessions at the Jagiellonian University's Collegium Medicum.
The program emphasizes the use of appropriate IT tools focused on the analysis of medical data. Special attention is given to preparing graduates in the field of ionizing radiation dosimetry and radiological protection, enabling them to acquire radiological protection inspector qualifications, which are essential not only in medical facilities but also in nuclear power plants.
